Located in Takapuna, Auckland, North Shore Brass is New Zealand's newest A Grade Brass Band. Formed over 80 years ago the band was previously known as the Takapuna City Silver Band and achieved promotion by becoming the B Grade Champion Band of New Zealand at the 2003 Brass Band Championships in Rotorua. Actively performing all over the greater Auckland region, North Shore Brass regularly competes at both regional and national level. Recent success includes winning the Band of the Year title at the 2007 New Zealand National Championships.
