A thriving band based in West Auckland, Kumeu Brass has now been in existence for 60 years. The band currently has around 20 regular players ranging in age from 15 to 90+ .. so there is room for everyone - the emphasis being on enjoyment as well as improvement!
Kumeu also have an enthusiastic Junior section (Auxiliary Band) of around 12 members, where younger players receive tuition and gain experience of group playing in a fun environment.
The Kumeu Vintage Brass is comprised of 21 experienced players averaging 72 years of age, who have played in more than 60 bands. Rehearsals are Thursday afternoons at 1:30 pm in the band room, and we play out at various community events. Visit the Kumeu Vintage Bands website.
